Customizing Lynn’s Landing to Your Wedding

In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him
— Psalm 95:4

Dear Friends, It has come to our attention how important personalization is to any wedding or event. It can be hard for someone to create a space personable enough for guests to feel comfortable in, and simple enough for you to enjoy. So, after research and consideration, here I am writing about some simple ways to create a unique experience here at Lynn’s Landing. Of course, you can apply this information to any venue, but we are quite partial to our own business!

For starters, think of your theme. What is your event’s main purpose? What colors or details embody your dreams? Creating a mood board can be key to staying on track with your theme. Some people base their wedding on the season, such as the Christmas-themed wedding we hosted a few years ago, or the spring flowers. I have seen weddings with soft colors and with moody tones. Every once in a while, you can find a movie-themed event (personally, I believe The Princess Bride would be a fun theme). The style that fits you and your family will determine the other personalization elements. Stick to it, and decisions may become a bit easier.

For those who have the time and creativity, you can make many decorations that fit your event. DIY centerpieces can be found all over Pinterest and may save you money. Creating personalized party favors can reflect the hobbies and history of the bride and groom. Custom signage is a wonderful way to incorporate your theme and draw attention to your event. Even adding family or childhood photos and including a relationship timeline can simply bring unique beauty to your event. Creativity is always exciting to see in our clients

There are a few fun and interesting ways to engage your guests at your wedding. An obvious choice is a live DJ or band, but have you considered adding a photobooth? These are always flexible and fun to add, and there’s plenty of wallspace for a freestanding booth in Lynn’s Landing to incorporate one! Also, lawn games would be great for the outdoors, or even table games. Don’t forget your young guests! Coloring books or crafts may captivate their attention. Another wonderful idea is to include donations to a cause close to your heart. Your guests will notice your attention to detail, and remember your wedding for years to come

No matter what route you choose, Lynn’s Landing is a blank canvas for your event to create its mark in your life. Inside, you can decorate the balcony and stairwell with flowers, balloons, or even signs that add a nice, comfortable beauty. The indoor tables and chairs can be set up around the room for the reception dinner, then moved to create a dance floor. Outdoors, there are quite a few areas to hold the wedding, reception, and rehearsal dinner, including the open field, swing tables, and the deck close to the Landing. Nothing can beat the beauty of the great outdoors. Take your time and look at our gallery to see what others have done, and implement your own style. We can’t wait to see what you do!
