A Winter’s Day- Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Dear Friends, We are snowed in here at Lynn’s Landing. The winter blanket has covered the ground in six inches of white beauty. Birds have started to come out and explore. If you look closely, you can see their tracks in that powdery top layer. The pond out front is frozen over, and the reeds have drops of white on them. The outdoor areas are quiet and peaceful, giving the land a private feel.

As I contemplate the beauty of it all, I realize that I have never seen the venue in winter. Since my first visit a few years ago, I have thought of the fairytale feel of this place. The pristine snow adds to the magic, making me wonder what it would be like to get married in winter. A small ceremony, with a marvelous dress, snowflakes dancing around. It would be cold outside, but would I care? A bouquet of pastel pink flowers contrasting with a white wedding gown. Hot cocoa and cookies would be served at the reception, indoors of course. I could see my brother starting a snowball fight, and coming in with frost all over his black suit. Family and friends gather around to pray just before heading home just as it gets dark. And then I would be outside again, watching the sunset on a quiet land.

Anything could happen at Lynn’s Landing. Beauty and wonder are just around the corner for this wedding venue, if only you would search for it. Each season brings a different spark to the imagination. Come and see the magic in this place.
